Weekend Workshop Cycles For Level 3, Level 4 and CPD for Montessori Trained Practitioners

Workshops 5

About the Classroom Practice Workshops

We offer regular cycles of workshops that form part of both our Montessori Partnership Level 3 Diploma in Montessori Classroom Practice (EYE) and our Level 4 (England) /Level 8 (Scotland) Montessori Diploma in Early Years Education at a number of locations.

These workshops are also suitable for anyone needing to refresh their practice or satisfy CPD requirements.

Each workshop is run over one weekend, and covers the practical materials associated with one of the 5 areas of the Montessori early years curriculum. The materials are introduced and presented by the tutor, there is opportunity for discussion and hands on practice, and there is a short practical assessment at the end of each workshop.

These workshops are open to all our registered students and to anyone who would like to come for CPD. Unless you already hold a Montessori Early Years qualification, it is strongly recommended that you attend the first two workshops in the cycle, covering the Practical Life and Sensorial materials, before attending the others, which you may then take in any order. You can attend workshops in the cycle in different locations if this is more convenient for you.

If you’re registered on the Level 4 (England) /Level 8 (Scotland) Montessori Diploma in Early Years Education you need to attend an additional workshop towards the end of your course to cover the more advanced language and maths early years materials, and to prepare for your written exams.

What you learn

During these two intensive days you:

  • Learn how to use the materials through hands-on practice.
  • Come to understand how the materials support the child’s       development.
  • Learn how to recognise what the child needs and how to respond.
  • Gain greater understanding of the importance of the prepared environment.
  • Become confident in being the dynamic link between the materials and the child.

Fees

If you’re a registered student* the cost of the workshops is included in your course fee.

The fee for CPD attendees, *and for any distance learning student registered before November 2015, is £226.67 for each workshop.

 Booking

Everyone who wants to attend a workshop must make sure they have booked and paid by the end of the Thursday before the workshop on the Saturday. Follow the link to our Events page to book your place.
