At The Montessori Partnership we care about giving children the best start in life. Our course tutors are all highly qualified Montessori practitioners. We have designed our workshops to provide each of our students with the best opportunities and resources they need to gain the understanding, knowledge and practical experience to pursue a career as a Montessori teacher.

The Practical Life Workshop is the first area in the Montessori curriculum run by Helen Lerebours. She is a highly qualified, experienced and passionate trainer. She is a course tutor for The Montessori Partnership as well as running her own Montessori business in Manchester.

In this workshop you will learn:

– How to present the Montessori materials to the children.

– How to develop a child’s independence and caring for their own environment (and reduce those tantrums!).

– Preparation for writing, reading and maths.

– Teaching the child to be able to concentrate, how to be quiet, how to develop self-discipline.

– The child is like a sponge and is primed from birth to learn without effort until the age of about 6. Learn how to take advantage of this.

– Students will learn how to make their own PL exercises .

For every workshop you attend you will receive a certificate of attendance.

“I also wanted to take the opportunity to feed back that the workshops the girls have attended so far have been fantastic. They have learned so much and have grown in confidence enormously. I can see the positive impact the workshops are having on all areas of their work, not just presenting materials. Their planning & observations have also come on in leaps & bounds. I know the girls are all very impressed with their tutor and I know that she has been very supportive towards them which has also boosted their confidence as practitioners. I hope that you will pass on my comments & thanks to her too. The girls are very excited to attend the final two workshops in the new year.” Tina Hemming-Stevens, Manager at Rainbow’s End Montessori School
