Our History
Montessori Partnership was founded in 1997 by our Director, Helen Prochazka, PhD.
Helen is an expert in Montessori methods, with a career in Montessori spanning 35 years.
Having worked at a number of Montessori training institutions, Helen set up Montessori Partnership to provide Montessori teaching courses for aspiring practitioners in the UK.
Our Aims
Montessori Partnership aims to:
- Promote excellence in Montessori teaching
- Increase national awareness of the benefits of a Montessori education
- Encourage teachers and others who work with children to broaden their skills by undertaking a Montessori qualification

What can you do with a Montessori qualification?
A Montessori qualification can open up diverse opportunities in early years education, both within the UK and internationally.
Careers in specialist Montessori schools that require a Montessori qualification include early years teachers, leadership team members and administration staff.
Careers are not simply limited to Montessori specialist schools; a Montessori qualification can also enhance teaching opportunities in non-Montessori schools. Many independent and state schools apply Maria Montessori’s concepts within their classrooms.
Many nursery and primary schools use Montessori methods such as:
- A discovery model of learning, in which children learn concepts by working with physical materials
- Creating a stimulating classroom environment by including natural materials and objects for children’s play
- Encouraging free exploration within limits, allowing children to follow their own curiosity to discover and learn about the world around them
Nursery and primary teachers often find Montessori teaching courses help them enhance their lesson plans and broaden their understanding of children’s development theories. This insight allows them to better tune into individual children’s behaviour, granting them insights into each child’s development.
Our courses help people all over the UK, and globally to gain Montessori qualifications and take on rewarding roles across the education sector.
